About us

The Romanian Association of Oncology “Sfânta Ana” was set up in May 2011 in response to the high number of cancer cases and to the bleaker and bleaker forecasts in terms of the accelerated increase of casuistry.
The association is an apolitical, independent, non-profit, legal entity, having as main aim the promotion, organization and representation of the rights and interests of the persons suffering from cancer and of other categories of sick people, in order to increase the quality of their life through integrated activities of social, psychological and medical type. We also address physicians working in this sector as well as in other related sectors in our attempt to support them in their specialization. The Romanian Association of Oncology “Sfânta Ana” plays a scientific role, as a sort of catalyst for specialists in the medical world through the setting up of medical committees, the organization of conferences, of exchanges of experience and access to the latest information.
Although set up in Gorj county, the Romanian Association of Oncology “Sfânta Ana” addresses sick people and doctors in this area but also operates at a national level.
